Hello, my name is 영주. You Killed My Father. Prepare to die.
Yesterday I saw my first Korean film " Boksuneun naui geothermal" and I say I was very pleasantly surprised, especially by the quality of guióny the force of ideas and images used by Park Chan-wook, the director.
Title of the film has been translated into English as "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance" and though I disagree with this choice, if I have to admit that the idea of Revenge is the main vehicle for this script. And apparently retaliation is very common in Korean culture, in fact improperly influencing its literature, capturing the headlines in newspapers and news, and virtually dictating the d & # 237; aa day of this wonderful country.
But I digress from the branches back to the movie. This begins as a simple story about simple people, a snapshot of Korean society today: the rich who live in big houses, with complications that do not go than divorce, and poor people living in paper houses, and do not have enough money to pay for medical services. The story takes an unexpected turn when a decision body to save a company of engineers change the status of some of these people. The consequences prove to be critical: a young deaf worker with a sister affected by kidney disease and lose your job, "almost" as a result, your liver to a group of scammers. His revenge against an employer goes through the kidnapping of his daughter ... a minute! I'm telling you the movie, I am afraid I must stop here and simply mention that the vengeance of a start to the vengeance of those affected. As the film progresses, each character makes great efforts to perfect the techniques of carrying out their vendettas. The number involved is growing, but naturally decrease at the same speed due to the brutal deaths as a result of the ingenious settling of scores.
I am afraid I counted too.
